Fun Must-Haves for a Beach Wedding

Dreaming of getting married on the beach?

It’s easy to see why — there are few things more relaxing than hearing the crashing waves as you walk down the aisle. Here, check out some fun must-haves for a beach wedding.

A Shoe Check
Encourage your guests to kick off their shoes for your ceremony by providing a table for them to leave their shoes.  You can also provide some cheap tongs for guests who don’t want to go completely barefoot.  And make it easy for guests to clean off their sandy feet after the “I dos” by setting up a station with brushes or small towels.

Foot Jewellery
Dress up your own feet with pretty jewels that fit your theme.

Toys for the Kids
Keeping kids entertained is even easier during a beach wedding; just provide them with some sand toys!

Beach Balls
Instead of having your guests toss petals as you make your way down the aisle as a married couple, embrace the beach theme by having them toss mini beach balls instead.

Pretty Parasols
Provide shade for your guests with colorful umbrellas that match your color palette. Bonus: They’ll look adorable in your bridal party photos.

Ocean Details
You don’t have to embrace an “under the sea” theme, but let the sea inspire at least a few of your wedding details, from your aisle décor to your escort cards to your cake and more.

5 Ways to Personalise Your Wedding

Here are 5 ways to personalise your Wedding and make it uniquely about you as a couple.

Sydney Wedding Venues, Sydney Ceremony locations, Wedding Tips, Personalised Wedding

1. Incorporate Your Hobbies
If you both love touring local wineries, consider throwing a wine-themed wedding. This can be done by simply choosing a winery as your wedding venue, or you can incorporate wine in other ways. Personalise your reception with wine bottles serving as table numbers, giving out bottles of wine for the favors or even by adding grapes to your floral arrangements and bouquets. Wine is just one example; the more unique the hobby, the more memorable the wedding becomes.

Excited about the idea of incorporating your hobby, but want to do something more subtle? You could showcase your shared love of horseback riding with a saddle-shaped groom’s cake and a photo booth filled with props such as helmets, riding crops, red coats, etc.

2. Be Unconventional
Every wedding has the standard components of a ceremony, reception, meal, music, cake and dancing. While that structure has served couples for hundreds of years, it’s a bit stale. Pick a component and do something unconventional that makes both of you happy. If you don’t like cake, have a banana split bar. If you don’t want a DJ, hire a polka band.

Wedding guests enjoy knowing the inside scoop on why you decided to do something different, so post small signs or cards that explain that you shared a banana split on your first date or your proposal was interrupted by a polka band.

3. Select the Right Time
Not every wedding has to be held in the evening. If you’re both early risers, think about a morning wedding. My favorite meal is brunch, so I got married at 9 a.m. and my reception was a champagne brunch. Guests raved about how unique the experience was and I got to celebrate my marriage with all of my favorite people while enjoying my favorite meal.

Hosting your wedding on off-days and times is often a cheaper alternative as well. Let go of the constraints of time (keeping in mind that unusual times may make guest accommodation planning more important). Feel free to host your wedding at midnight under the stars with s’mores or at noon with a picnic reception. Remember, your wedding is whatever you dream it to be, and your guests will go with the flow.

4. Include Important Members of Your Family

If you adore your grandma or great aunt, find a way to include them in your wedding. I love the idea of older women as flower girls, especially if there aren’t little girls in your family. You can also include your pets or family members with entertaining talents. Who wouldn’t be amused by your cousin doing sleight-of-hand magic tricks during cocktail hour? Each family member you include helps make your wedding day a little more “you.”

5. It’s All About the Details
If you want your wedding to be unique, add things that make guests think of you and your fiancé. Jokes or fun facts about your relationship tucked into napkins, your favourite sports gear as props for a photo booth, or a taco truck for late-night snacks are just a few ideas to get you started.

10 Wedding Planning Tips

10 Wedding Planning Tips in the Lead Up To & On The Day

We at Circle of Love pride ourselves on delivering Wedding Ceremonies that are modern, glamorous, unique, creative, luxurious and filled with love!

As part of our service, every detail of your Wedding Ceremony is carefully discussed with you to ensure your day is just how you have always dreamed.  From Ceremony location to Ceremony setup, colour themes, and wet-weather options, we will do everything to ensure your day is perfect.

Here are a few tips we have for your planning:

1. Take Your Time
The more time you have to plan your Wedding the more likely it will be that you can lock in the best venue and suppliers.

2. On the Day ~ Be Present in Each Moment
Your Wedding Day goes so fast ~ be sure to soak up all the love and joy and all the hard work that went into planning it.

3. Try Not to Stress
Remember that your suppliers are professionals and they want everything to go as well on the day as you do.  Don’t forget to take some quiet time with your new spouse on the day.

4. Remind Yourself What is Truly Important
Don’t get caught up in the Wedding but think of the Marriage.

5. Take One Thing at a Time
Once you select a date and a venue, everything else will fall into place.  Think about the  three most important things for you and work on those next.  Make a list and slowly tick them off as you go.

6. Don’t Sweat The Little Things
Plan ahead and don’t procrastinate, only do things that you can afford.  Don’t try and please everyone else ~ it is your Day.

7. Keep it Simple
Don’t get wrapped up in details that may stress you on the Day ~ you want to look back and remember a fun, happy stress~free time.  Just being there in the moment.

8. Finish Your To~do List Early
The sooner you can get done with small things, the better, because the closer the Wedding gets, the bigger the small tedious things tend to get.

9. Relax
Try not to do anything Wedding related for 2 weeks before the Day ~ enjoy each other and look forward to your future.

10. Keep The Big Picture in Mind
At the end of the Day you will be married to the love of your life!

Circle of Love  are outdoor and indoor wedding specialists, both religious, and civil, in a range of venues including beach weddings, park, garden weddings, indoor venues, chapel and church. We have many beach wedding ideas and garden wedding ideas sure to make your day most memorable!

The Hottest Wedding Trends for Spring

Here are some of the Hottest Wedding Trends for Spring

Theme
Vintage and romantic remains the prominent theme for 2014.  Blush and champagne wedding gowns, black and white photographs, champagne cocktails, lace table cloths and a touch of sparkle continue to enchant.

Hairstyles
There’s a swing back to more romantic styled ‘dos for 2014. Halo braids, braided crowns and chignons, and sleek, swept back classic chignons are favored by today’s brides. Look for hair embellishments like feathers and jeweled headbands.

Groomsmen Details
Grooms are also involved in the wedding planning. They may not be selecting flowers and mulling over color choices, but they are more concerned about their individual style and that of their groomsmen. Wearing colorful socks or bow ties is a fun way to put their personal stamp on the wedding.

Floral Inspiration
Add something personal to the bouquet, whether it’s a family heirloom such as a lace handkerchief, a piece of the bride’s mother’s or grandmother’s wedding dress, or an antique brooch or earring.

Sparkling accents tucked within the flowers are another popular trend.

Or add a little extra bling to your bouquet for an extra-glamorous look with a satin-wrapped, crystal-accented stem.

Remember, it’s the little touches that always have the biggest impact. Have fun putting together those special details — you’re going to have a beautiful wedding!

5 Must-Haves for an Outdoor Wedding

Planning an outdoor wedding?  Here are 5 must-haves to keep your guests comfortable.

Hydration Station
With the sun bearing down on your guests and the alcohol flowing, everyone needs to be on guard against dehydration. Provide tasty infused waters, which will encourage guests to sample them more so than plain water.  And consider personalized bottles of water, which are easier to tote around than glasses.

Programs that Double as Fans

Ceremony programs are a fun way to share information with your guests. During an outdoor wedding, make those programs work double duty as cooling devices. Attach a fan program to each seat to ensure that each guest has one, or set up several baskets near the entrance.

Insect Repellent

Keep those pesky bugs away with free-flowing bug spray. And consider incorporating bug-repelling lanterns into your décor — they can be more attractive than you’d think!

Shade
Keep your guests away from the sun’s harsh rays by setting up oversized umbrellas during your ceremony, providing sunglasses, or having parasols available for your loved ones.

A Primping Spot

Have an out-of-the-way area where your guests can fix makeup meltdowns and tame their hair once the heat and humidity hit.

Do I need a wet weather option?

The most asked question about an Outdoor Ceremony is do I need a wet weather option?

At Circle of Love we will always make sure you have a Plan B or wet weather option.  Whether it is your Reception Venue or an alternative, undercover location close to your original spot, it is vital that you and your guests are as comfortable as possible in challenging weather.  A marquee is also a good option but check with local Council on any restrictions.

Most Reception Venues will have somewhere you can use for your Ceremony.  It may be on the dance floor where your Reception will be or an undercover Terrace, so always enquire when booking.

As for your Ceremony Package we will endeavour to include as many of our items as will fit into the new space.  All of our arches will work indoors, as will aisle runnerscolumns and vases.  The number of chairs may be limited due to space.

Below are some examples of our Sydney Ceremonies that had to be moved indoors or undercover.

Sasha and Gus’ Balmoral Reserve Wedding

Sasha and Gus’ Balmoral Reserve Wedding was a very special and intimate one.  They tied the knot in front of 22 very close friends and family with their beloved dog Ruby Rose.

They chose the Southern end of Balmoral Reserve next to the Balmoral Sailing Club for their Ceremony, on the grass about a metre from the beach.  A lovely view without the sand between your toes.

Sasha wanted a Vintage Beach Ceremony so she chose our Glamorous Chic Package which includes:

* Single Bamboo Arch

Ivory Lace Draping

* White Folding Chairs

* Sisal or Seagrass Aisle Runner

* Silk flowers on the Chairs and Arch

*Signing Table and Chairs

* Wedding Coordinator to setup and packdown and ensure the smooth running of the Ceremony

Fern and Han’s Sydney Wedding

February 28th 2014 was the date of Fern and Han’s Sydney Wedding.

Although planned for the Bennelong Lawn at the Royal Botanic Gardens the wet weather option had to be used.

There are several wet weather venues at the Gardens that are well worth exploring when you make your Garden booking. As Fern and Han’s Wedding was a small family gathering, The Vista Pavilion was an excellent option.

They chose a simple setup which worked nicely in the Pavilion. The Package included our White Single Arch and Drape, Crystal Strands with Kissing Balls on the tie-backs.  White Folding Americana Chairs and a 6m White Carpet.

The Wedding Team on the day included Robyn Pattison ~ Celebrant, Sutoritera Photography and Le Motion Wedding Films.
